"NMM configuration is corrupt" when trying to import mods

Hello! o/

Got the itch to do another FO4 run, saw NMM isnt used anymore, downloaded Vortex, and upon following the steps on the Vortex page I encountered an error. When I try to import the mods from NMM it says "Vortex cannot validate NMM's mod archive files - this usually happens when the NMM configuration is corrupt."

I installed the lates file of NMM, as its been way over a year since my last FO4 playthrough, still getting same issue.

Also when I go into NMM to deactivate the mods, NMM crashes while deactivating.

Also, I just reinstalled FO4 so I don't even think any game files are actually modded. Could I just maybe copy the NMM mods foler into the vortex directory?

I like my FO4 to be heavily modded, don't really want to go hunting for and/or reinstalling all the mods i love

Halp please

Activate FO4 in Vortex. Drag and drop the mod archives into the Drop File(s) box at the bottom of the Vortex mods page. The archives will be automatically copied into the FO4 downloads folder. I would strongly recommend doing only a few at a time. Install, enable, deploy, and sort these mods. Repeat until all the archives are downloaded and the mods are installed, enabled, deployed, and sorted. Along the way, you will most certainly have to resolve some file conflicts. You may also need to do some minor load order tweaking. However, the good news for load order management is that Vortex does most of the heavy lifting. Once done, enjoy your game.

If you have not already done so, spend time with the tutorial videos and the Vortex Knowledge Base.
