seth2012
Well people yesterday I have noticed a problem in my skyrim that the game doesn't show some quest targets be it person or place, in especilly the radiant quests it showed like "clear out [...]" the name of the place isn't specified and just written [...] instead and the target wasn't marked on the map... For one of the quests (animal extermination to be specific) I used a console command to see if it is just about the specific stage of the specific quest and when I needed to talk to Aela to clain my reward it again said "Speak to [...]" and as I knew I head to talk to Aela I went to her and when I tried to talk there was no option to say "mission accomplished ma'am" and the same thing was happening for several more quests... First I thought it might be the mods so I tried deactivating and trying the game one by one, groups and all of them... none worked... So as I felt I had to but didn't for a long time, I decided to do a fresh install... Backed up my saves to be safe, removed the mods, uninstalled the game and after I installed it back the game was worse, after the Bethesda logo the dragon emblem comes up but waiting for a few seconds the main menu (you know the one with new game-load-options etc) doesn't appear and the game crashes... Well I thought it might be the old saves so I deleted them, didn't work, I updated to the latest version again didn't work... I reinstalled the old mods that didn't work again... Then in a couple of my attempts to boot the game I saw the error that says "failed to initialize renderer unknown error creating the renderer" and I checked on it around the internet and here, many were saying it comes up cause of a missing graphics card driver update or directx so I updated them both but again it was the same, I tried all above several times and got pretty annoyed to the limit of giving up on Skyrim after playing it for 8 months... Have any of you encountered a similar problem and know a way to solve it? Any help would be really appreciated Thanks
Deleted4404112User
Well my only suggestion is to manually erase all the files in your Skyrim folder through the steamapps folder (Highlighting everything and sending them to the recycle bin). Then re install the game on a different user account on your computer. Make sure that account is an admin. Also after erasing all the files go to your recycle bin and permanently delete all the files. This method usually works for me if any type of game or application messes up.
