Space the final frontier

Recommended Posts

How about using a big textured sphere. That's the standard way to do it. Or do you want to create a worldspace with multiple cells where you can roam around?

That's how I thought it was done thanks. I was hoping for a world size one(multi cell) but was willing to settle with a few large room size as I've only built one station and 4 outpost's so far but if I could do world size one then I can have my astroid belt (long way off), so it's just a simple skybox texture of what file type? and would you know anything about how to switch gravity off in the engine ? If not no worries.

also i love your bridges and stair's mod..

I think you could also play around with the climate settings, they should allow you to make the sun stay permanently in one place.

Also there is something called stars.nif, maybe it's worth checking out.

A start is to create a new worldspace. Untick the 'No Landscape' and 'No Sky' checkboxes and set a lightning template and a climate

You probably have to create and play around with your own lightning template and climate.

For testing purposes etc.open the worldspace in the rendrer window and place a floor piece with a COCHeadingMarker on the piece so the player has something to stand on if you are testing. Remember to give the cell an unique ID

If everything is set up you may have to experiment with your lightning template and weather before getting the result you are after
