How to fix a bloated savefile !

Hello!

My savefiles are all on 130 megabyte. How do I "clean" up all the size consuming items and rubble lying around or how do I fix such bloated files?

I downloaded "NoBoringSleepWaitMenu" which lets me wait/sleep for 31 days consecutively and didn't work.

Also downloaded Possessive Corpses, installed but didn't fix itself either or am I supposed to do something more with it?

Need some good tips on how to fix this, as I'm having these occasional freezes every 30 seconds or something. Unplayable, really.

Thanks!

And yes, the save I'm running has had mods being installed and uninstalled repeatedly, however I did make a save inside coc qasmoke with mods disabled.

Well, one problem is that even if a mod isn't in your current list, if it was ever active, it could have left things in the savegames, such as scripts. For example, if you ever had SoS-Civilization installed at any point, or early versions of mods like Warzones, your saves would still have contents from these mods even though they are long gone. And SoS-C was causing savegame bloat for a lot of people. I had the same problem happen months ago while using early versions of some of the larger mods at the time. I had to deactivate them and make clean saves. That doesn't always work though. Have you activated papyrus logging to see if there are scripts logging a lot of warnings/errors?

FYI, files of that size aren't caused by such trivial things as too many corpses, arrows, ash piles, etc. Those can add to the size, but not huge amounts. Anytime you pick up anything, kill anything, move an object from its default position, it will be recorded in your save game. Even tripping over a cart in the road by accident, and moving it, will cause additional data to appear in the savegame. But these are very small size increases. In general, anything over 15 MB is out of control, and indicates a mod malfunction.

Well, that's most likely related to your savegame problem. It's script-related. Find a representative section of the log file and see which mod(s) is causing so many errors. Paste a section in here inside of a spoiler if you want others to look at it. My log file typically has a few thousand lines logged for a 10 minute session.
