help mesh porting

Recommended Posts

If modifying an existing mesh = Open in Outfit Studio --> Export as .obj --> Import into Blender (any version will work) Make modifications --> Export as .obj --> Open Outfit Studio --> Load Reference --> Import (or drag n drop) .obj file --> make any adjustments necessary --> Copy Bone Weights, Set Base Shape, Conform All, Save as Project (with or without reference body depending on the amount of skin shown) Open Bodyslide, Create Outfit --> Open .nif in Nifskope, make sure all Materials are set up correctly --> save file.

Obviously if you are creating an outfit from scratch, you can just use Blender and export as .obj, then follow the rest of the process.

I have an .obj of the default CBBE Reference Body ( = CBBE Zeroed Sliders in Bodyslide ) which I import into Blender to use as a guide and shape reference when modifying/creating armours, because by default FO4 armour meshes are rotated, moved and scaled differently than the standard x, y, z in Blender.
