EvilNed
I downloaded the latest version of the Skyrim Script Extender from here (http://skse.silverlock.org/). It is version 1.5.11, which is apparently meant for the latest build. I play via Steam, so Steam automaticly updates my game. I've checked my EXE file, and it is up-to-date. It is version 1.7.7.0. Yet despite this, the Script Extender says I have the wrong version and won't start. Any help?

Rabbit1251
I thought that the latest version of Skyrim was 1.7.7.6. Rabbit
EvilNed
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Patch You're partly right... It seems the latest version is 1.7.7.0.6. I just checked ingame, and this is the version I have. Maybe the Script Extender has not yet been released for this patch?

Just copy the SKSE files into your main Skyrim folder (where your TESV.exe file is) & it will work fine. For some reason, the auto-install doesn't appear to be working properly.Good luck. bben46
There was a change in the SKSE install instructions as of V1.5.9 http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4841772/1/#new
EvilNed
Just to be clear, I've never used any auto-installer. I copy/paste the zip file into my Skyrim folder. It still doesn't work.

xNodus
The latest build works for 1.7.7.0.6 as well. Personally I just copy the DLLs and exe and data folder and drop it in the main folder of Skyrim and it works
