Huzzahfortimelines
So there's this weird thing going on. I reinstalled Skyrim, but for some reason, I have no sound, except the intro-badum sound. The only thing I can think of that might have screwed it up is the "Nord ambient music" mod. However, I downloaded that before the fresh install. My sound folder is almost empty, with the only file in it is FonixData.cdf. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? Or maybe someone could be so kind to upload their own sound folder- so that I can override mine? (If that would work).
Georgiegril
You should be able to get the files you are missing by going to the steam interface, clcik on games>properties and look for verify cache files. That should cause steam to search for and replace any missing or corrupted files. It may also set your ini files to default, so if you have changed any of that make sure you have a backup ini file first.
