marcusholden22
I am currently learning C++ and I'm wondering what code can Skyrim Special Edition mods be written in. I have a lot of mod ideas but don't know what's needed to put them together.
madmongo
You generally don't write much code to create a mod. Skyrim mods are created using the Creation Kit. 3d Modeling is done using Blender, 3DS Max, or Maya. Texture editing is done with Photoshop or GIMP. Code is only used for scripting, and that uses Papyrus, which is a scripting language unique to the Creation Kit. Papyrus is very limited compared to C++. marcusholden22
I had a mod request in the mod request forum... it will probably use some scripting because I want to bind different animations to a whole new enchantment.
