IxFa
I have not played Oblivion beforeMy computer couldn't handle something beyond Morrowind. Barely Morrowind at all, really. I have a new computer though, and this is high-spec. For my very first playthrough of Oblivion, what mods would you say are good to add? Unique Landscapes and Unofficial Patches(Oblivion, Shivering Isles, Official Mods) are a bit of a given, I would assume Any others to make the first experience a stupendous one? LFact
If it is really your first time, the must is Unofficial Oblivion patch(and Unofficial SI patch if you have SI, Unofficial Official Mods patch if you have any of official DLCs). The rest is optional. Play the game at least once, then write down what you want from the game before downloading tons of mods.
theuseless
better citiesquarl's texture packarmamentariumarmory of the silver dragon these are all mods to make the game look better. They don't change the game play. Many people complain of the limited weapons and armors. I have a mod that has a lot, but like LFact stated, you realy should try the game without tons of game altering mods. Beautification is great, but breaking the game before you even start is wrong. Also most of the TOQL (top oblivion quests links) is a great place to get good story content without compromising too much of the game.
