Meljuk Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 If i want to change a NPCs Clothing The NPC duplicates instead of changing the NPC.
DrakeTheDragon Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 How do you try to change it exactly? Making a patch plugins? And if so, do you use the Construction Set Extender (OBSE plugin) or the Vanilla CS still?
Meljuk Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 I'm going to Actors -> NPC -> NPC ID in the Object Window, double click it going to the tab inventory and change it. Now nothing happens in the game and when i close the cs and open it up again there are just new ones called: NPC IDDUPLICATE000. I wanna change the clothes of an NPC from a Mod but all the clothes original and the new ones are from the vanilla game. And i use the Vanilla CS.
Meljuk Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) Yes I do the Problem is that the NPC is duplicating instead of changing Edit: With active file you mean that i activate my plugin in OBMM right? Edited April 10, 2019 by Meljuk
DrakeTheDragon Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 No. They meant when you are in the CS, "Data Files...", you don't just checkmark an ESP/ESM but you highlight the one you want to edit and click on the button labeled "Set as active file" (or what it says), making the 1 plugin the one you edit, instead of creating a "new" plugin using the other checkmarked ones as parents/masters, which the Vanilla CS can't keep up for ESPs as parents when it saves the plugin, as only ESMs can be parents in the Vanilla CS, all others are lost on save/load.
Meljuk Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 I tried both if i create a new plugin it does save but the problem occurs if i edit the existing plugin it doesn't save at all.
