JaydoDre Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Hi all, Currently horses not owned by the player walk away once dismounted (apart from the ones bought in the Horses for Followers mod). Is there any setting anywhere that will make a horse stay once dismounted, regardless of whether its owned or not? To explain what I need this for, I have a relatively large group of followers and they each own a custom horse, but once they dismount from their horses, the horses walk home. I want to avoid that. I really hope it is just a simple setting that needs to be disabled somewhere but cannot see it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

tetradite Posted August 13, 2012 Share Posted August 13, 2012 You need to give any horse that you want to stay where it is when it's rider dismounts an AI package to tell it to do that, otherwise it will automatically walk back to it's editor location (the place it spawned). In the Creation Kit, look at the "PlayerHorseStayPut" AI Package. You need to make a copy of this with a new name (e.g "AllHorsesStayPut"), remove the conditions on the conditions tab and save this new package. Give it to any horse you want to act like this and when they are dismounted they will stay where the rider left them. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This only works if the player dismounts, not a follower: a horse copied from a playerhorse will have the AI package I mentioned above, with the conditions which check whether or not they are the player's last ridden horse, and if they are not they don't stay put.
