save the betrayed (falmer) *dawnguard spoilers*

Recommended Posts

so after playing through dawnguard i wanted to try and help save the betrayed but i have yet to see a mod the does that

so what i was thinking is using hidden dwemer technology, magic, and potions i could revert the betrayed to their original state and they would then inhabit the dwemer ruins or moving them to the forgotten vale to restart their kingdom in peace

Well, according the Gelebor, the Betrayed did not change into their current form overnight, and may not ever return to their original appearance, but has shown an increase in intelligence over the years. So maybe, instead of "curing" them, there's one Falmer controlled dungeon that can become friendly, similar to the Forsworn Conspiracy and Escape from Cidhna Mine quests.

I want this so much too! I tried creating my own but I could barely start and I have moved to university now (my computer can barely run the game at ultra low settings much less the creation kit) which makes it hard to mod.

My idea to do this while still being lore friendly is: make it so that the Paladin was wrong and that there was another snow elf still alive and living in seclusion (that's why the Paladin didn't know about it). He could have spent his entire life trying to use Snow Elf Magic to "cure" the Betrayed. Of course, this would be a very difficult spell. Nonetheless, my idea was for someone who had all magic maxed out and they would go on a quest to help convert Falmer by Falmer back to the non-betrayed type. This would create a counter of the number of "saves". Once reached, say 20 saves (that lived since they would immediately help you fight off other Betrayed), they would then run towards a single location where they would make a temporary camp. From there you could go to them and help them raise money to build a brand new city (either underground, or even in Solstheim where the Snow Elf Prince was at (re-creating the island might be difficult). If successful, you'd have a brand new city just inhabited by snow elves (and yourself) and you would be given an honorary title (similar to the Thane position) and you would be allowed access to a library of new Falmer spells (much more powerful than regular magic).

Also, after the completion of the quest, it would be nice to see some Snow Elves actually roaming around in Skyrim now.

Of course, this is a very difficult idea to implement and would take a lot of work. If I were skilled enough with my 3DS Max, I would work on creating some new building parts for the city, but I am not only bad at that but also at scripting and everything else (still learning). Can anyone help me bring this great mod to life?? I will try doing the best I can with my limited knowledge and computing power =}
