Creating player home with workbench

I've been thinking about duplicating Listening Post Brave and turning it into a player "bugout bunker." How can I add a workbench to the cell? I followed Fellout's video, but that's for a settlement, and I know there are some differences to scripts between settlement and home. Any help will be sorely appreciated!!!

Not really.

Things that are different:

-Map Markers need a xmarker-ref

-Attacks should be turned off (They might work but...)

 

But basically the rest is the same.

If you only want a homeplate-like home, it's similar to making a settlement, but simpler: most importantly, leave out the registration quest. Without the quest, the workshop won't be registered with WorkshopParent and won't recieve a WorkshopID. This means, it won't be a full settlement, but it will be safe to uninstall it (at least as safe as uninstalling a normal mod is)

 

You also don't need the map marker, attack/edge markers, and I think the centermarker and spawnmarker can be left out, too. When in doubt, look at what Home Plate has.

 

If you want fast travel to work, you should add a map marker, though, with the corresponding fasttravelmarker in the cell.

 

You still need a custom location, and a custom encounter zone with Never Resets and Workshop checked. You also need building area boxes*. You probably don't need the sandbox area box, but it probably won't hurt adding one anyway.

 

 

Also, if you copy a cell, don't forget to regenerate the navmesh in the copy, or it will think that it still connects to the original entrance door. And to undo changes to the original cell using xEdit. The CK will always do some unnecessary edits if you copy cells.

* Home Plate doesn't seem to have any building area boxes. I have no idea how it even works TBH
