Arkanoe
Hi there, yesterday i tried to customise the vampire race using the creation kit. But since I'm pretty new into modding (some experience with 3D-modeling, scripting and programming) I didn't really achieve what I wanted. I hope that you can give me some hints or clarification on how to achieve my vision of the skyrim vampires. How turning into a vampire is made visible to the player now From what I've seen, turning into a vampire is followed by the following changes in the character's appearance: 1.) Skin tone gets pale2.) Face texture turns into fugly bat-like creature3.) Head mesh seems to transform (lowered cheek bones for example)4.) Eyes turn orange glowing5.) (Bug) Face gets dirty/burned hope i didn't miss something What I like to achieve 1.) Skin tone gets pale2.) Face texture turns into fugly bat-like creature3.) Head mesh seems to transform (lowered cheek bones for example)4.) Eyes turn orange glowing5.) (Bug) Face gets dirty/burned So the only visible change I want to get by turning into a vampire are the glowing eyes. I found some mods for 2, 3 and 5, so the only thing that is left would be preventing the skin from getting pale.I searched the Script files, the esm-Files, everything, but found nothing. Is it even possible to make such a mod, or is the vampire skin tin somewhat "hardcoded"? sorry for my bad english -> german ;)
Tolgord
What did you getr for 2? I really can't stop my sexy vamp from turning into a "fugly bat like creature". Please advise! :)

azarathkhan
I made a mod recently for 3. Devacore already has one ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16506 ), but my version is for Enhanced Character Edit 0.83 users. ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22477 ) Use Devacore's if you have no changes to your vanilla female head mesh.
androidmaster
Not sure how it would be applied as only a cosmetic change, but belua sangunaire does something similar. Anyways, my suggestion, if all you want is the stuff you listed, edit the vampire versions of the race by copying the data from the normal version. Change the textures they use to the default race ones, but tell the game to use only red/orange eyes. If my computer weren't in repair shop, I'd do this for you myself. I have a backup installation of skyrim on a flash drive just for when I want to test mods on vanilla (my play installation is WAYY too modded to ensure a mod works as it should :P). So, in a few days, if you haven't fixed this, I should have my laptop, and I'll whip up a mod for you. Lolz. Because it'll use whatever textures normal races do, it'll be compatible with unp/cbbe. Ok? :D If I get it back today or tomorrow, I'll upload a pure eye-change variant, and one for pale/eye-change. The color change to the skin should not be hard coded. When you become a vampire, you go through a race change to a vampire version of your race. Because it's default tint is more pale than the normal, you get more pale. You just have to change the default tint to be identical. I've messed with this in the oblivion cs, and as long as the CK isn't bugged, it should work perfectly Edited August 15, 2012 by androidmaster
sli1442
I recently made a mod that does this. Most of the previous posts seem fairly old so I'm not sure if you've found your solution yet :ohdear: but here is a link to my mod for you or anybody else who is still looking for a mod that does this. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29063/ Not sure if this is what your looking for or not. If it isn't, good luck! If it is, I hope you enjoy it! Edited December 29, 2012 by sli1442
