BartholomewFolk
There's a graphical flaw in Skyrim that's been bugging me incessantly. It's tiny, but it's annoying as hel. . .lo kitty to see it in a big-budget game in 2012. To resolve it, you only need to edit a couple little meshes. However, I don't know how to edit meshes, so I turn to the good members of the community for aid. (Textures are about as far as I can get in modding. :P) You know those tiny little jagged rocks in Skyrim that sometimes lay on the ground? They look bloody awful. Whenever I see them sticking out of the ground in their whole 5-polygon glory, I think "Oh, wow, look at those horrible clusterf***s of polygons. This is a game. A gaaaaaaame, not real!" I have the same issue with the little rocks that ring campfires. Enb doesn't even improve them much, because there are just so few polygons for the light to act on, and they lie flat on the ground and don't really sit near anything, so ambient occlusion can't help much. I would really appreciate it if someone would edit the mesh (add more polygons) for those tiny rocks, or the campfie rocks, or both, to make them rounder and less hideous. I think they use the mountain texture, so you probably won't even need to mess with any textures. I'm not sure, though. Worth a look, maybe? Please? Jetion1990
BUGhesda is to blame for everything that's wrong in this game and there are plenty of things.
J3X
The meshes are low poly because otherwise you would get an interactive slideshow on some systems.
David Brasher
Tro lo lo lo lo! Troll says: I hate it when people make "simple easy mod requests." For some reason they never are. Blender is a very complicated program to learn, and a very difficult one to get quick and adept at using. So your mod request is something that a skilled modeler could do. (But it is not "A very simple, very easy mod request" for crying out loud!) Why can't people every come right out and ask for "really hard and time-consuming" things. I don't imagine the loss of framerate would be any more severe than with some of the things people try to do to their copy of Skyrim, but too many mods like this and you would need to buy a better computer. BartholomewFolk
Ah, but once you know how to use blender, it would be very easy to add a few more polygons to a Simple, static object, yes? Adding a few more polygons to a rock is nowhere near as complex as adding a new set of armor to the game. No need to continue the thread, because I've already spoken with a friend who knows how to model, and he says yes, since he already knows how to use blender and nifscope, the mod is no problem at all. So I guess. . .issue resolved. Hopefully the mod will be done in a couple of days. Yay! :P Edited August 14, 2012 by BartholomewFolk
