StayFrosty05
Well as playing a stealthy character I can confirm I never use 'Throw Voice' either and find it kinda pointless....if my Dovahkin wants to distract an enemy he just fires off an arrow and not waste cool down time for another shout he may need at any given moment. To distract an enemy, I use rolling heads from decapitated enemys. By that point the few left of my Dovahkins enemies are running for their lives screaming "Death is highly over rated!" ....distraction no longer an issue.... ...just chasing the rotters down....
McMutton
I recall attempting to use it to distract those first two Thalmor guards during the Diplomatic Immunity quest. They would never go investigate it- It just alerted them and they came straight for me. Bah.
Relativelybest
Frankly, there are a lot of shouts I never use. Most of them, actually. Dragonrend, Firebreath, Slow Time and Call Dragon probably see the most use by far. I tried using Throw Voice once when attempting to evade guards at the Thalmor Embassy, but it didn't really work, so I never bothered with it again. Well, I guess there was this once when I used it to lure a draugr closer to me, because I was in a position where I couldn't hit him with my bow. But that's about it. Mind, that still makes it more useful than Kyne's Peace, which was the first shout I found but didn't even bother to unlock until very recently. TheVampireDante
It's quite handy in one of the latter DB quests. With timed use and care positioning you can go quite a long way without being "properly" detected. I still kill the people I use it on, it's just good for getting them into the right location for the strike, or letting me move up further. superstar86
I love this shout. Its great on my archer. Allows me to position a enemy where i want to take a shot at them. So there are times its very useful. It all depends on the archetype of the character your playing.
Moraevik
I've never tried to use Throw Voice to distract an enemy. I've only bothered learning it in two play-throughs, and used it in those to flush out opponents so I could get a clear shot on them with a bow. Then I picked up on the technique of firing an arrow at the spot where you want an opponent to go and as long as you aren't detected they will happily oblige and stand there for a few seconds while you take careful aim. I now usually carry twenty or so iron arrows (since I don't mind losing them) just for this purpose.
kkwongyung
lol I find it useless too, can't even distract, everytime I use it about a mile away or somewhere real close my enemies spot me straight away, but I got this animeish lore unfriendly mod that turns your throw voice into some anime girl screaming "baka", so I use it for fun every now and then
Mercbird
I found it usefull to create some confusion, but other than that its just so much fun if youre taunting yourself in a cavern :whistling:

stabbykitteh
It's actually quite useful when liberating Frost from his current owners (if you happen to be trying not to murder anyone...)
