SFBryan18
So I just watched a short video in another thread about a mod from Oblivion, and man did the music take me back. I played that game for so many hours that hearing the music practically brings tears to my eyes. Anyways, I searched to see what was available, and there was one, but it appears to have been locked by the moderators. I assume that it's because we are not allowed to convert anything from previous games? So is it possible to add the music from Oblivion to Skyrim, or is it illegal? And if it is allowed, how about someone add the music, but also keep the Skyrim music, so that it alternates? Well, probably won't happen, but I just had to share this idea. Porting over any game assets from other Beth titles is a big no-no. Unless it's for private use, of course. I made a mod that lets you add your own music to the game without using the CK (see my sig). So, if you still have your game disc it shouldn't take long to get those Oblivion tracks playing in Skyrim. And the mod will let you choose if you want to keep the vanilla music or just have your own added music playing in the game.
SFBryan18
Wow, that looks awesome, but I played Oblivion on PS3. Anyways, if I did buy the game for PC, and followed the instructions... Your mod would allow both the vanilla music and the custom music to run side by side, and the tracks would be random? Anyways, I might give it a try. Thanks very much for telling me about your mod. The mod adds your music to the playlists already in the game and then it randomly picks what tracks from them to play. Where and when the different playlists are used is not random however. Instead the various areas of Skyrim, as well as different times of day and specific situations, have their own music; IIRC, there are 21 playlists in total in the game. For instance, mountain regions, taverns and nights all have their own playlists, so you can tailor your music experience in very specific ways by adding tracks just where you want them.
