upsidedowncolor
So I have a problem I cant seem to figure out, and I'm not sure if its a mod, the game engine, or my computer hardware but I'm starting to get pretty frustrated. What's happening is that my game will get stuck at random times. When I say stuck I mean that the screen will randomly get stuck and all controls stop working, strange thing is that the music is still playing and the picture is fine, just nothing is moving and controls are gone. It seems to only happen when im outdoors, or while autosaving after a fast travel. This makes me come to think it may be my computer because it seems like it always happens when loading scenery.Computer specs Gigabite EP45-UD3P4 gigs of DDR2 ramSandisk 120 gig SSDGeforce GTX 550 TiIntel quadcore 2.8 GHz My specs are more than enough to play, but my system is over 4 years old (excluding SSD and GPU) and has a loootttt of gaming hours into it. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
gsmanners
Ah, the mysterious freeze bug. This sort of thing goes on all the time in Bethesda games in my experience (since Fallout 3, anyway). I've even seen it happen indoors, though that doesn't happen very often, admittedly. The thing is, this has been reported a great many times for people even on the Xbox 360 and the PS3, so I highly doubt it's anything but some kind of lock up in the code itself (a badly handled signal or maybe code that decided to trash itself). The fault more than likely is the fact that Gamebryo/NetImmerse wasn't really designed to handle so much data all at once. Seems like the most rational explanation (given the strong correlation between saved data amounts and frequency that this sort of thing happens at).
