WakahisaSensei
Using Windows 10. So I recently tried to install a new game. The audio for that game did not work, I deleted it. But now, Skyrim's audio isn't working (sort of). I tried updating sound drivers, etc. All the obvious paths have been taken. I still get audio via headphones if I connect them, but no speaker audio. Speaker audio works fine for youtube videos, regular sounds, but apparently not Skyrim anymore. Has anyone ever heard of this? I honestly have no idea how to proceed. None of my usual solutions seem to be working. EDIT: CTD rate also jumped up. Could this have anything to do with direct x or some other change from installing a new game? Also, if important, I have Realtek speakers (whatever that is). Edited April 22, 2019 by WakahisaSensei
WakahisaSensei
Problem seems to have resolved itself. I had to reset literally every audio setting, disable enable speakers, mute unmute, etc. But it works now. Not sure what actually fixed it but something did. WsElite
sometimes if you change audio when you're in game, it can cause some problem like the game don't have a sounds, you'd better to try change it when you aren't launching Skyrim. glad you worked it out
