FPS drop/stutter

Every now and then my fps drop to 0 and then up to the normal value right aways again. It's like a stutter. At first I thought it was only when moving outside, but I get it even when I'm inside and in the vendor menu. Doesn't seem to matter much at what fps the game was running, it just drops to 0 and back. My game runs from anywhere between 20-60 fps depending on the locations. I've tried turning off some of the more demanding mods like rcrn, but that doesn't seem to effect my performance that much and the stutters remain.

Tried all kinds of mods that fix stutters and fps but none of them work.

Have you tried limiting your fps?

 

What graphics card, computer specs, mods? Hve you tried basic mod troubleshooting?

I would look for an external program that runs in the background - such as a PM program checking every once in a while for new messages. Xfire used to do this and cause games to crash. But I think they fixed it.
