Warzone causing CTD

Hey, I'm having trouble with Skyrim CTD whenever loading some of the NPCs for Warzones. I believe them to be Imperial legionnaires and that the trouble is with some textures as they appear to have some missing/being messed up with spots of bright pink instead of the normal textures. In the link you can find my mod list and load order, I've updated everything but not been able to find what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Warzones is a heavy mod, it requires a good computer. You are using it with HD textures mods and scripting mods, those are heavy mods too and require an even better computer. So your problem with CTDs and missing textures is probably because your computer can't handle all those heavy mods.

The game runs fine, it's only a few specific locations that crashes, and it seems, after more careful experimentation, to be Stormcloaks spawning causing the CTD.

I've not experienced any problems, which would seem likely if it was due to the computer not being able to handle it, other than those few NPCs, so I don't think you're right. But thanks anyway!

I've had Warzone CTD me a couple of times myself - My PC was running the mod perfectly fine until I installed a few more combat/spawning/enemy mods.

I think the additional calculations and everything kind of screwed everything up and the game couldn't handle it - did you do something similar?

Heya... sorry for your troubles.

1 - WARZONES itself doesn't alter textures or uniforms, so if you're missing any it's because of some other outfit adjusting mod OR you've done something to your texture folder akin to removing key textures... I see you are running LUMPS' IMPROVED OUTFITS for WARZONES. I would start by reinstalling (or uninstalling) that.

2 - I would also remove any super-high res textures because when you are entering WARZONES you are asking your computer to load a LOT of new information and this being a 32-bit game that barely ever touches even 4GB of RAM, you need to treat it kindly - and with LOADS of resource headroom.

3 - WARZONES sometimes prefers to be the last of the ESMs.

4 - CRIMSON TIDE can also cause "overflow" because of the extreme high-resolution textures and the extra horsepower required to handle it across potentially more than 50 NPCs simultaneously.

5 - I cannot be sure of what (if any) INI tweaks you may have made, but it may be in your interest to investigate them and determine which (if any) are requiring more resources than perhaps are necessary. SKYRIM CONFIGURATOR is a great tool for easy experimentation.

Simply put, imhexperience, ~95% of the time SKYRIM crashes dead to desktop it's because you've simply asked it to do too much.

The logic that the game runs fine pre-Warzones doesn't hold water (although, it's a great indicator that your are probably toeing the line as opposed to pushing it way too hard) given that Warzones adds quite a bit of resource-hungry NPCs ;)

@ MyGoodEye

Amen and your post, should be made sticky, as general rule to read before anything else. Skyrim isn't the simple game where you just drop some mods in a mod folder and it will just work. People also think that as long as you have good CPU and GPU, you can run anything and if something crashes, the solution is simply get better CPU and GPU. Until there is no better to get and still can't explain why they crash...
