  1. Thanks for the video. I agree completely. The issue of "if you don't support the Empire, the Aldmeri will win", is a false argument, if you just see the map of the lost territory of the empire in your video, think of the appeasement policy towards the Aldmeri (=weakness and inability to fight them which dates long before the Stormcloak rebellion) and the inability to crush the Stormcloak rebellion itself. Calling it the "Empire" with capital E and hoping that this "empire" has any chance of winning against the Thalmor, is just as funny as hoping that the roman empire of 472 AD, had any chance of recovering the lost territories or any connection to the glorious days of the Trajan Roman empire (100 AD). The Empire is "finished". It's an empire only by name. I will tell you more... Once the Stormcloak win, there is nothing stopping both sides, of forming a mutual defense pact, as independent states against the event of Thalmor attack. That's realpolitik. Even better, maybe the "empire" should wake up and smell the coffee and join a new empire under the guidance of the Nords, who certainly seem more more battleworthy and determined to fight, than the destitute empire. Heck, Ulfric knows "unrelenting Force" shout, which is more than what anyone from the "empire" can say. Disclaimer: I 've been playing the game for years, but haven't finished it yet, because i keep restarting with new mods. So i don't know how it all ends. But, what always bothered me with the "dilemma" of "whose side the Dragonborn should take" in relation to the fate of the land towards the Thalmor, was: "Does it matter? I am the Dragonborn. If the Thalmor attack, the side i will be fighting with, will win, regardless of being Stormcloaks or Imperials". Unless of course by the endgame the Dragonborn ascends to some powerless spiritual form (please don't spoil it for me), where he can't affect the outcome of a future war anymore. Otherwise, i say: "Let the Thalmor come. I will crush them and my faction will win anyway".
  2. I 'd much more like a mod that adds card games to taverns. Like "Tavern Games" , but with cards.
  3. I am not familiar with "Populated Skyrim", but i know of the "Populated Series", originally made by Erkeil. Erkeil has been banned from Nexus. AFAIK there are 2 overhauls of the original mod, which fix facegen data and also bring USLEEP compatibility. The Legendary http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73147/? And the reborn http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73167/? The reborn also has a 50% less NPCs version (for less performance hit), but on few NPCs, the forehead appears reddish-pink. Erkeil's original mod, is here: http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/populated-cities-towns-villages-rs-relliosavini/
  4. My own images is modified UNP, so the characters have "boob boost", cause a friend of mine was complaining that UNP has small boobs (now they 've silicon implants and workout a lot). The normal UNP does have gravity. I am not female, but i 've seen more nude females than most in the forum and studied anatomy. I don't remember now the details, because 2 times i installed CBBE in Bodyslide and both times i changed my mind because something was feeling very off. That was 2 years ago. UNP isn't perfect, but it felt more natural to me. The boobs, is a very variable factor. The overall gravity effect, depends on muscle development (grand pectoral) and gland to fat ratio. The gland, is more compact. The fat, the more there is, the more causes the breast to sag. These variables change with age (the muscles get weaker, the gland eventually gets atrophic and its space replaced by fat -> more sag).
  5. Yeah, i don't get you CBBE guys. I have a friend who also complains that my UNP custom body is too boring and "not hot enough", because it lacks the "CBBE curves", but i really like UNP... I don't get what's wrong with it! It's much more anatomically correct than CBBE and it's curvy enough for me! UNP all the way! http://i66.tinypic.com/14jp3r7.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/taorqg.jpg
  6. You should really learn how to install mods with Mod Organizer. Very simple and very easy to obtain stable modlist. Also, with that, you don't install anything in the main game folder, all mods are kept in MO's directory and installed on the fly. This way you can't mess with your original game installtion.
  7. Yeah, i have no doubt that texture mods will run perfectly, because they are just that. But if SKSE mods don't work, for me it's a disaster. "Better Stealing" alone is worth to me more than any new release. Not to mention the various Hunterborn, Frostfall, Acquisitive soulgems multithreaded , FNIS, just to name a few well known. Mod Organizer will probably need patching too. Bodyslide probably too. It's a nightmare. Heck, Enboost AFAIK isn't running with 64bit executable. So, assuming that Boris will update it, all old ENB versions that used to run on x32 Enboost will be automatically impossible to use. Not my concern, as i don't use ENB, but just saying. I run FXAA process injector, so i will face the same problem, unless there is a 64bit version of it that i don't know about.
  8. If the old mods need update, i think there will be soon a separation of users that will stick with the old Legendary version and mods and those that will go to the new version. There are hundreds of mods, that have been abbandoned by their creators. Many of those mods are essential to many players. I doubt these modders will suddenly reappear just to make their old mods compatible with the new version. So automatically, you will have 2 mod worlds. To that, you must add how many people don't have the hardware to properly run the FO4 engine. Plus, i 've spent months to find a stable mod configuration, plus ini, enboost, step configuration and now i must fight with everything from scratch, because i doubt that the new game will be flawless.
  9. Better stealing is a MUST for any thief that respects himself! 1) Crime Overhaul: Must have for thief characters that play with Ordinator or other perk mod that makes Pickpocketing worth the perks spent OR for pickpockets that don't use fast travel. For the reason alone, that now when caught, you don't get teleported to the jail when you pay the fine. You pay it on the spot and go your way. 2) Lockpick graduation by Lilyu. Install option C. You are making a career as a thief, you 'd expect to be able to have a better eye for locks. 3) Black Market more Gold: In Dragonborn, you get the option to get a summonable Dremora merchant. Who only has 2000 gold. Not anymore. 4) Craftable Soulgems : Craft soulgems at the forge, using ingots. Must have for any enchanting character who doesn't want to rely on Belethor bringing new soulgems. 5) Circlets with Helmets Legendary Edition (you can wear circlets over your helmets). This, combined with: 6) Dragon Priest DragonBorn Circlets Aetherial Crown. Used in combination with the #5, allows you to have the dragon priest masks as circlets, so that you can have a helmet + a dragon priest mask turned into helmet (so that your pretty character's face doesn't wear a mask). 7) Dungeon Quest Awareness Redux 8 Infinite Gold for Merchants (gives 20K on the fly to a merchant, each time you talk to him). 9) Small Town Merchants: Adds merchant shop to the small settlements and works with #8. A godsent for "no fast travel" users (think Frostfall), that carry a lot of loot and the nearest town is far away, while a settlement is near. You can go sell much of your loot to the small town merchant and continue your travel to the big city to sell the rest, while picking up animal pelts along the way. 10) Learn Alchemy from recipies. MUST have for anyone doing a bit of alchemy. I used to use Harvest Overhaul, but at the end it was too easy to raise alchemy and now i only use this one mod for alchemy. 11) Skyrim Realistic Archery - Bows - Arrows - Crossbows - Bolts. I don't know what i would do without this mod. 12) Order My items. Very cosy in ordering ingots or in some cases, alchemic ingedients for otherwise tedious quests. Ti think that's enough for my top list of the "not so famous mods".
  10. Someone posted in other topic that it will be separate game. Steam will not force it as update. But of course, i think that if someone tries to use the old mods with the new game, many will break.
  11. If you try Apocalypse Magic, give also Ordinator Perks of Skyrim a look. They 're from the same author and the 2 mods are designed to work in synergy.
  12. For sorting mods, use the "sort" (aka LOOT) function of Mod Organizer. Some tips i can give you: The 3 Unofficial Skyrim Patches are now superseeded by the "Unofficial Legendary Patch" (USLEEP). Any mods that rely on the unofficial patches, need updating to USLEEP compatible versions. Cloaks of Skyrim has been incorporated into "Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade". So, if you install that, you can also use Cloaks of Skyrim without installing the standalone Cloaks of Skyrim. Same goes for some other mods (Jewelcraft, etc). FNIS has been updated to v6, you need to update all mods that use FNIS to new versions too. CoT v3 has been replaced by CoT v5, but i am sorry to say that now CoT is the worst weather mod, considering there is Purity (very lightweight) and Vivid Weathers (with some weathers there is a performance hit for low-med GPUs). Dimonized UNP body is OK, but the new standard is making your own body with Bodyslide. If you use Bodyslide, you no longer need "UNP HDT-PE BBP TBBP" either. You only need the HDT Physics Extensions. As an alternative to SKyrim HD, you might want to take a look at Noble Skyrim, it covers more things. SkyUI has been updated to v5.1, you may need to update mods that use it. All new mods require 5.1. And don't forget to make sure you have the latest SKSE , as well as the famous "SKSE ini with the memory patch" (google it, you will get many hits". It brings uprecedented stability to the game. Also, you might do well to click on "files of the month" in Nexus, to see the top 5 files for each month. I would definitely look at "Better Stealing" and "Crash Fixes". Good luck.
  13. Ordinator doesn't only affect perks, it also changes everything in stealth detection, particularly when it comes to light and sound (it's easier for enemies to detect you in light and if you make noise). It's in Ordinator's readme file. But you probably also have some other mod that alters sneak detection and you don't know about it (like you didn't know about Ordinator doing it). Ordinator's sneak difficulty has actually been nerfed in the last editions (like in 6.xx series). Before, it was harder. With Ordinator it's easier to be detected, also sometimes unrealistically easy, but nowhere as bad as you describe. I can tell you this though. If you are in light, with Ordinator they can see you miles away, especially during the day. And if one sees you, they all get alerted (it's normal). Also, i hope you aren't trying to sneak, by running around in heavy armor, because heavy armor makes noise and in Ordinator, like Dengeir wisely says, "Enemies and ears. Both are everywhere." Here are the Ordinator changes: fSneakActionMult: 2 -> 2,5 fSneakAlertMod: 0 -> 0,3 fSneakBaseValue: -15 -> -17.5 fSneakCombatMod: -0,4 -> -0,6 fSneakEquippedWeightBase: 12 -> 13 fSneakEquippedWeightMult: 0,5 -> 0,55 fSneakExteriorDistanceMult: 2,1 -> 1,85 fSneakLightExteriorMult: 0,5 -> 0,6 fSneakLightMoveMult: 0,01 -> 0,03 fSneakLightMult: 0,33 -> 0,4 fSneakLightRunMult: 0,2 -> 0,5 fSneakMaxDistance: 2500 -> 2750 fSneakRunningMult: 2 -> 2,25 fSneakSkillMult: 0,5 -> 0,4 fSneakSleepBonus: 0 -> -0,6 fSneakSoundLosMult: 0,3 -> 0,4 fSneakSoundsMult: 1 -> 0,9 Assuming you don't have some other mod that also messes with these settings and you don't know about it, if you think that Ordinator is too hard with it sneak detection settings, i can suggest to use this and make sure you load if AFTER Ordinator in your load order: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16449/? It's still harder than vanilla, but probably more balanced. Note: With Ordinator, if you intend to play the stealth game, you better invest heavily in stealth and make sure you use a muffle enchantment as early in the game as you can. An easy way to get that, is if you use Hunterborn. In Hunterborn, after you kill a few animals, you can use Scrimshaw to craft a muffle ring. It helps a lot with the noise aspect, when you sneak behind the enemies. But, be aware, that if you try forward lunging power attack with anything other than daggers, while you sneak behind them, they will most likely hear you. My favourite weapon is 1 handed waraxe, but when i sneak behind them and prepare for the sneak kill, i switch to dual daggers and do the lunging power attack, so that they don't hear me. You can usually land a full 3 power stabs with both daggers and sometimes repeat, for a total of 6 power stabs before they detect you. I play with High Level Enemies full scaled version, so often they have tons of health and they don't go down easily, so they need the full 6 stab treatment, plus many perks to get rid of them. Until you can get Emperor's death.
  14. I don't know how to clean mods with TESEdit, i don't use bashed patch either, but after reading a lot and using common sense, i have a very stable list of 130 mods. A good starting point is the STEP guide: http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2 I can already tell you though some things. The "Unofficial Skyrim patches" are now obsolete and replaced by the USLEEP (unoficial legendary patch). Mind you, that mods that relied on the old patches, must be updated to USLEEP compatible versions to work. The Dance of Death mod, is abbandoned and commonly substituted by "Violens". SkyUI, if you have v4.1 or less, needs updating for newer mods. Cloaks of Skyrim, is now incorporated in "Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade". Overall, i 'd look at STEP core and then see about the rest of my mods, how recently update they are, how compatible they are (reading the post section of a mod to see if more recent posts mention problems helps a lot) etc.
  15. Quote is from "Steelfeathers" . I messed up the quote button. Hello. I don't have Fallout 4. I just came here out of curiocity after reading about this issue in the Skyrim forum. Let me tell you my short story. I first saw Skyrim at the home of a relative of mine years ago. I didn't like it, namely for the excessive blood and worse, for the fact that i am in that unlucky percentage of people, who suffer from motion sickness with 1st person games that include wobbly camera. I also didn't really like the combat system, with the archery part being a complete let down. After some years, i bought Skyrim. Why? Because of the mods, including mod that stops the camera wobble ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38193/? ) Without this mod, Bethesda would have never, ever, seen my money. Simple as that, because without it, i feel nausea within 10 minutes. Not to mention the unofficial Skyrim patch that makes a beta game, appear like it's final. Companies don't have a heart. The modders are in a symbiotic form of relation with Bethesda, where they get creative and happy and Bethesda gets $$$ indirectly from their work. That's the simple truth. Skyrim without mods, is a beta, mediocre game. Skyrim becomes one of the most divulged games even years after release, only thanks to the modders. Bethesda knows it too and that's why it lets modders do their thing. If Skyrim isn't amongst the long list of "good, but old and obsolete RPGs", is thanks to the modders. The games that don't let modders free hands, become forgotten in a couple of years. Skyrim keeps selling to this day, because of the immense mod content available, that makes Skyrim, a game of several years ago, work better than vanilla, look better than vanilla and play better than vanilla. Don't take my word for it, take Bethesda's, that prepares the "Skyrim definitive version", as a means, to relaunch SKyrim to console users, with mods being a main feature... Remilk that old cow of many years ago, thanks to the...mods. I am going back to the Skyrim forum now, bye all.
