Unexpected token in json position 0

Vortex was working great for me till last night, was building a new mod list. I had created a separate profile and was loading mods into it, then got the dreaded unexpected token in json at position 0. Now mods will not deploy in any of my profiles! I have no idea how to fix this issue, any help would be appreciated!

search this forum this has been dealt with dozens of times. go search the forum, try what has been proposed previously and if you still get no joy, come back with what you did and what happened.

Take a look at this thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7088986-failed-to-deploy-mds/page-2?hl=%2Bjson&do=findComment&comment=69204961. There may be a post there that addresses your problem.

Had the same problem. Closed Vortex, went into Skyrim Data file, found votex.deployment files and deleted all of them (I kept them in my recycle bin just in case), started Vortex back up and everything seems to be back to normal.
