Skulzinator
Hello! So I've recently figured out how to use the Creation Kit and have been playing around with it. I made a plugin with a few new npcs in Riften, tested it out, and it worked. I went back to add more in the world (specifically near Karthspire) and saved it. When I went to play, the npcs in Riften were still there, but the new ones I added were not. I tried not selecting my plugin as the active file and added 2 new npcs plus a table outside of Solitude and saved it as a new plugin. I went to play and the Riften npcs are still there, the Karthspire npcs I made were still not there, and the npcs I added outside of Solitude were not there. I was wondering how to fix this so I could continue adding stuff to it. Thank you.
Georgiegril
So if I understand you, you made changes to the skyrim .esm, then did not save your changes as a separate plug-in? If this is the case, my understanding is that Skyrim will overwrite any unsaved changes to revert to it's default. To avoid this you just need to save your changes as a named mod. I'm not an uber-modder so someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Skulzinator
No no no I did save the stuff as a plugin file. When I went back to add stuff I selected skyrim.esm, the update file, and my plugin file (setting it as the active file so I could save my changes to it)
Skulzinator
When I go to File --> Data , when I want to update my plugin, should I only select my plugin or should I also select Skyrim.esm and skyrim's Update file?
