Silent Hill Village [W.I.P.]

Hello guy's !

 

For those who knows me via my previous mods back to Oblivion or even here with "The Dark Tower" knows that i'm not doing things half way...

So i'm here today to present a Work in Progress of my upcomming mod, Silent Hill (the final name may or maynot change)

Don't mistake my words here, it is not an hunted village... Some will say, "Yeah but silent hill to me sound like..." I know what it sound like, but when i started looking at the overall of the village layout, Silent Hill is the first and only thing that came in my mind... It was this and nothing else !

Silent Hill is a new & unique village with lots of atmosphere... The village layout is extremly complex, been build on montain cliffs, its making it very unique !

The plans for the mod are huge, but... As always, i always deliver what i claim to, so no worry ! (this project will not fail or stay in an un-realease state)

The village will have is own story, relating why it as "rarely" been spoke of in Skyrim...

 

What will it add to the game beside a new village you may ask...

- A New Quests Line* (all related to the village and it's being and involving a new Guild in Skyrim)

- Side Quests (misc quests to help the inhabitent of Silent Hill)

- New Stuff (Items, Weapons & Armors)

- Many points of interest, Places to explore and re-visit ! (i want the player to come back there once in a while, not pass by and never come back like most of the small villages of skyrim)

- A place where the player will feel the harsh life of Skyrim

- New Shops (with most of them specializing in a certain type of things)

- New Dungeons to explore

 

So far, i've put everything i have in the layout design of the village and nothing elswhere...(100 of hours of cluttering)... like i said, it's a WIP, i'm just here to present it "as is" for now ! The progress is slow, but i would'nt dare release something "poor quality"...

This post will always get updated with the latest pictures, and the topic with the latest details so read it !

* The Quest Line is planned, but someone went missing for 2 month... (you know, the usual) So IF i'm to work on this alone, only the side quests will be advailable !

Progress looks good so far, the fact that it's an isolated town might mean it's small and has very little to no trade. Have any idea on how you could get the Khajitt caravans to stop by the entrance of this place? To me it would make sense, the Khajitt themselves say that they exploit 'dangerous or unseen opportunity'.

That's a good point, but this is far in my priority right now !

This is a new populated area... So far nothing related to the movie is to be include in this mod... (beside a mine), but in no way this is a replica to the movie...

I was referring to the game really, what I should have said was will this have a horror theme to it kinda like the SH game. I figured it might judging by the work you did with the Dark Tower mod.

Actually, the mod is on a question mark state, i'll explain:

As i'm working the layout i go with what's in my mind. Right now, i have no idea where i'm heading, all i can say are big lines:

- the village is to be unique

- the village will have many points of interest for the player to come back there once visited

- there's lots of shops

- there will be some dungeons to explore

- there is a major quest line planned, but this is where the problem comes up...

- if the major quest line doesn't make it, there will be side quests

- i want this town to be like no other which means you will feel the harsh medieval life going on around you

 

I always deliver quality work, this will not change no matter wha's going on with my partner on this project.

If i'm to complete this mod alone, the major quets line will not make it but side quests will be available.

 

Concerning our the horror theme, it's not planned Silent Hill is a regular village but unique in its layout.

The player will have more stuff to do there then in most vanilla village...

I will keep this post updated as i'm going.

 

Update on the mod:

- the layout is 90% completed

- i've started interior cells

- i've started npc's and AI

- i've started the first dungeon which is a huge mine going under the village and the mountain surrounding the village
