Redjohn
I hate mods. That's not fair, I don't hate mods per se, but there has always been something about using most mods that just felt a bit like cheating, in fact, the only mod I've ever downloaded and used was Caliente's nude mod.For um, realism. *cough*But that's not why I'm here. For over a decade I've refused to use them, until just today when I finally caved and installed the Scrap Everything mod.My fall from video game purity was caused by a bush. Just one.I had spent over two months struggling to build a player home at the Coastal Cottage site, which is, as everyone is aware, one of the most challenging build sites in Fallout 4.I sweated and labored and cursed my way through it until I finally was able to build around that damnedable structure, and start building outward from there. After many, many hours of my life utterly wasted in Fallout's virtual world, I completed a home that I was proud to call my own. With one small issue.Right in the middle of a room was a bush sticking up out of a concrete floor.I ignored it. I walked through it. I pretended for more weeks that it really didn't bother me all that much.Until today when I realized I'd done nothing with that room because of that freaking bush.I caved.I installed the Scrap Everything mod with the sole intention of just getting rid of that cursed bush, that's all I'll do I told myself, just that one bush.I got rid of that fraking bush, and saw that all was good. Then I remembered those unscrapable stairs at Outpost Zimonja, and I eliminated them with extreme prejudice. Then it occurred to me that I could also get rid of some bushes sticking up through the floors at my Sanctuary build , and like magic, they were gone. After that, I don't recall much, I went mad.I have a vague recollection of visiting every settlement and eliminating every slightly irritating object I've ever had to contend with. I may have been uttering sniggering noises as each vanished, I do know that at one point I uttered the words; "die you F.....G board!" because my wife became concerned and came it to check on me. I don't normally curse. So I have fallen. I can no longer claim the moral, gamer purity that I once possessed, no more sneering at those mod users. No more feeling that my un-modded builds were by their simple nature, somehow superior to others. But no more. This stops here.I can quit anytime I want...right?Oh, um, I endorse this Mod. Wolfskin75
Scrap everything is good. However .. it cause ALOT of issue with frame rate and totally destroys vault 88. If someone could maybe fix it. It would be the best mod ever. I guess I should post these on the mod site.
Psywizard
Scrap Everything is a great mod...just remember to save often, or it can be your worst nightmare!
dark47
I use it also and normally love it, but be careful - you can literally "scrap the world away" if you get carried away, he, he I know, 'cause I did it once, ... or seven times. Sometimes I just want too much room. he, he
dragonslayer2k12
There are mods for coastal cottage that change it around so it doesn't suck anymore. I have one installed that adds a cave inside a large rock it also flattens out the area just a bit and gets rid of that hole in the ground. Redjohn
I've already encountered the dangers of the mod by scrapping that which should not be scrapped, namely in Hangman's Alley, fortunately I was already saving before I ever started. There are mods for coastal cottage that change it around so it doesn't suck anymore. I have one installed that adds a cave inside a large rock it also flattens out the area just a bit and gets rid of that hole in the ground. I'm way to proud of my build there to go messing with it now. That really is the only place where the only things I scrapped were a couple of bushes and that couch. dragonslayer2k12
Coastal cottage for me always has these underground things to scrap like fences and bushes near the entrance and this happens no matter what mods for coastal cottage I have installed. It might be a scrap everything bug or an unofficial patch bug who knows or maybe a toady howard bug heh.
