JacquesStrappe88
Any ideas as to why SKSE64 is not working this morning? Everything was hunky-dory last night at 2200 EST-- this morning SKSE64 is not working in Vortex or directly from desktop. I changed no0thing in the meantime. I did notice Vortex released a new version this morning-- I don't know if this would affect it or not.
AugustaCalidia
Did you install the latest Vortex testing version 0.18.1? If you did, and SKSE64 is not responding, can you roll back to the stable version 0.17.11 to see if SKSE64 will work? I myself am having no problems with SKSE64, and I installed the testing version this morning. Please provide more information: How to Request Vortex Support. rmm200
0.18.1 here. No problems with SKSE64."Not working" requires clarification. Executable not found? Windows exception? Error messages?Guessing is hard...
JacquesStrappe88
I tried to start SKSE 64 this morning. I received a message asking if I would like to allow SKSE64 to make changes, and I selected yes.I recieved the usual command prompt for about 1 second. Then nothing.I installed the testing version of vortex, thinking that perhaps it had mucked with SKSE64 in a similar manner that SSE updates did. Rinse, repeat.Nothing.rmm200-- Executable not found? Obviously. Windows exception? No. Error messages? No.Now that you don't have to "guess," do you have anything constructive to add? rmm200
Stop Vortex so you stop blaming it. (Vortex does nothing to SKSE64).Download a fresh copy of SKSE64 from https://skse.silverlock.org. Install it manually following the instructions in the download.

rmm200
You are navigating to your Skyrim SE game directory and executing skse64_loader.exe and nothing happens?Check your Windows event log. You are doing something wrong and I can't tell what it is.Would also help to open Steam and validate your Skyrim SE files.Note: Vortex is out of the picture. You don't have it running. JacquesStrappe88
Steam files revalidated: no change.Event Viewer: I attempted to run SKSE64 at 1620 EST with no favorable results. A check of the Event Log shows no error, no aborted program or any other derogatory info at 1620. 17 hours ago, SKSE64 worked without any problem and now it won't load. I have changed no settings. I have re-downloaded from Silverlock and reinstalled. I have attempted to run it in and out of Vortex. Just for shits and giggles, I attempted to run SSE.exe and I would not load either. and yes, I allowed it to auto-configure my settings in Steam. Guest deleted34304850
you say you changed nothing - but then you intimate that you may have downloaded the new version of vortex. so, surely, that is a change, no? later you intimate that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of skse64 - did you install it correctly? did you have an older version of skse64 previously, which is now updated? if you run skse64 from the game directory - does it start? if not, if you run the game exe itself, does it start? if neither of those are successful then you have issues much wider than an update to vortex. rmm200
As I replied to I think you on Loverslab (may I call you Krenik?), using an LE mod on SE will give the symptoms you describe.Treat the people over there better than you do those trying to help here. Most of us are just mod users like yourself - we don't get paid, and we are just here to help.
