Is there no Mod Manager?

On every mod I'm seeing an option to download manually or use a mod manager but I can't find one. There is a link to something called Vortex, but the FAQ links to a category page on a wiki with no good introduction and all the documentation I can find on Vortex on the wiki looks like it is for mod makers not for game players who want to use mods.

 

So, what is the story with mod managing as a player, not a mod maker?

Vortex is our new mod manager. You can download the latest version here: https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/

 

That page explains what Vortex is about and if you click the rider that says "Help and Support" you will find links to introductory videos, the support forum, as well as documentation. Said documentation on the wiki has a massive FAQ as well as step by step modding tutorials for complete beginners for several games.

Thank you! Being directed to a category page on the wiki instead of a page with content when I went searching for answers was very confusing. Appreciate the direct link.
