Mod conflict question

As my tag says I got a conflict issue that i'm curious about. Short story, building an armory, getting as many guns as I can to populate it and there's where the issue comes up. Got most of the ones I have to work as ESL's but there are about 30 that I really wanted that apparently conflicted somewhere so I just dumped them when they did. Kinda ate at me though...

 

(SIDE NOTE- those that i dumped, tried as both ESP and ESL and LO position to see if those were possible problems before dumping them.)

 

MY questions, "Is there a way thru some form of Merging to get the conflicted files to be use-able or not? Such as 1 large merged file or even several smaller (5 files per) merged files?"

 

I ask here before I go bang my head against the wall to learn Merge Plugins or Wyre Bash. Not that I don't want to cause I need to anyway but I feel it best to ask the Mod Gods before I do that and find out if i'd be wasting my time.

I would appreciate any insight you wish to impart to me and Thank You in advance for any help.

Sounds like you're trying to do something that I've been wanting to do as well. Once I start to get the hang of how this stuff works for THIS game. Gawd, they didn't make it EASY!!

 

Now keep in mind that I AM a total newb for modding this game. But my very first guess would be that the weapons in conflict may have item specific ID numbers to them. Which is determined by the load order that their hosting ESP/ESL/ESM is in. So if for instance you're wanting to insert a weapon named "ThisGunX" Which is originally located in "MyModGuns.esp" which is #123 in your load order. ThisGunX's ID number is gonna start with 123 because that's where the parent ESP is, in this hypothetical load order.

 

When you try to load the weapon "ThisGunX" in a custom ESP that is say.... 175 in the load order, the game can't get the ID right. I ***THINK*** that's where your conflict is coming from. (Again, I may be outta my mind, I really am a total newb here!!!)

 

I know that I have browsed somewhere under searches for merging mods, that there's ways of reassigning them, which you have to do, when you merge mods. However, I didin't understand it, again....total newb.

 

Like I said, I'm wanting to do something like this myself, so when the professionals chime in, I definitely want to see what they have to say.
