gojiraman590
So in the case of New California, that would be "Fallout New California BETA 213 INSTALLER.7z"? Because that didn't work. Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, I'm new to this. I also tried just "Fallout New California.7z" Do you have the 7Zip program installed? If not, google it, download it, and install it. Then you can extract the contents of Fallout New California to you desktop per the instructions on the Nexusmods page for New California. Yes it's installed, sorry if I wasn't specific. All it does when I download is it turns into some kind of weird file that I can't open. But it still has over 1 million kb in size.
Pickysaurus
What is the file name you're seeing? It sounds like you might be trying to open an incomplete download.
gojiraman590
The weird thing is that the file name is what it should be. So I technically didn't have to rename it. It's "Fallout New California BETA 213 INSTALLER".
gojiraman590
Okay, I figured out what I was doing wrong. It was a stupid mistake.
Pickysaurus
Glad you solved it. Could you elaborate on what the problem was in case this comes up again?
gojiraman590
For some reason, I had to open 7zip and select the files through 7zip itself,i wouldn't let me use the open with option because it was showing up as just one file instead of a 7zip folder. Unless that's what it was supposed to show up as. I didn't think to open 7zip itself, hence why I called it a stupid mistake.
