Soo ill get straight to the point. My skyrim is ctd for no apparent reason. At firts it crashed to desktop right before entering combat, i searched around a bit and found that it could be the mod ''Display Enemy Level''. I disabled that mod aaand now it just crashes what seems like randomly (yes i started a new game). It even crashes in The alternate start room. I have been fooling around all day and i cant seem to find the problem, so here I am.

I am no expert in this but I think people will need a bit more info in order to help, like:

1. Do you use a mod manager...if so what?

2. Do you use loot, tes5edit?

3. Do you have the ENBseries?

4. Stats for your gaming rig will help a bit as well.

5. Do you run FNIS every time you installed a new mod, did it give you any error message?

Well for one thing your bash patched needs to be at the very bottom of your load order.

 

Double check Wyrebash to see if any of your plugins need to be changed around so they'll work properly. Don't let LOOT reorder your plugins!

 

Also download the Crashfix plugin (Witcher1973 provided link) and use the memory manager it comes with (through SKSE), as that'll help solve crashes related to low memory. It also has a feature that will show you what exactly is causing your crashes, although if you have an exception address crash that'll be hard to trouble shoot.

 

From looking over your load order it might have something to do with ELFX and CoT conflicting with each other; you have both ELFX weathers and CoT installed along with ELFX enhancer and CoT hardcore dungeons, all of them conflict with each other when modifying worldsplaces and interior spaces, so that is probably it IMO.

1.I do Use a mod manager. The new one that Nexus provides, I think it was ''Vortex''.

2.I do have loot installed but i dont think i use it often. I also hev tes5edit and i used it to fix the orange markers at wyre bash.( Sort masters I think it was)

3. I Do use ENB and ''True Vision ENB Preset.

4. I have 8GB of ram, Geforce 1050ti 4GB from MSi, Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz

5. I ran it every time i installed an animation changing mod and it did show me one warning: ''Warning: AnimationList found in "Animations\FNIS_PCEA2", but no corresponding Behavior file. Incomplete mod IGNORED.''

I don't use Bash so I cant help you in that regard...i.e load order..i use loot for my load order in Vortex.

I would suggest finding out what that warning was about and getting the corresponding file it needs along with that XP32 XPMSE skeleton, a lot of animations depend on that skeleton.

So heres what I did:

1.Put Bashed patch on the very bottom.

2.Installed XP32 XPMSE Skeleton extended

3.Updated FNIS

4.Installe SKSE Plugin Preloader (from Crash fixes(I already had Crash Fixes))

5.Disabled Climates of Tamriel

6.Started a new game,

 

First it crashed about 5 min in when i tried talking to a dog (why not).

Then I Updated FNIS again (idk) and started a new game, and again it crashed at the room where u start with alternative start.

 

I was thinking of just buying skyrim speical edition and leaving oldrim behind. Would that help me with crashes at least a bit?

Not really, something is causing those crashes and it may have to do with you .ini files

check your ugrids to load amount should be 5

Did you put in your memory values?

A lot can go wrong with ini file configs if it aint done correctly.

Only 7 times? Pfft. I've finally managed to pack in all the mods I downloaded over the years and it took like 11, 12 attempts and switching from NMM to MO, lol.

 

527 mods taking up 248 plugin slots and I've managed to limit my crashes to once every blue moon instead of once every 5 minutes :D

LOL, Yeah well i am not counting the 3 times i started over directly after i used only a ENB preset that i hated. so far i am on 319 mods with 233 plug ins. Not counting the ones that i installed manually not running through the Vortex. Game is running good without any crashes so far, adding mods at this point makes my skin crawl for fear of crashing again or screwing up the game in some way i don't like as before and not being able to get rid of the effect without a full re install :sick: Vortex takes some getting used to for sure but its the first time i am using a mod manager and it was on nexus so i went with it..once the learning curve is over "not that it is by any means" its not so bad. :cool: So maybe you can help out our friend here since you have more experience than me.
