Help Transferring Vortex + Skyrim to New SSD

So I just purchased a new 2TB SSD and last night I discovered that I broke Skyrim in some way. I figured I may as well use this as an excuse to move Vortex and Skyrim to the new SSD for faster load times. But I understand it may not be an easy process. So here's my situation:

My OS is currently installed on my C: Drive

Both Vortex AND Steam/Skyrim are installed on my E: Drive

My new SSD is labeled D:

Let's say I uninstall Skyrim from E: and reinstall to D:. Can I simply uninstall Vortex, ensuring that I keep the mods I have in the archive folder, reinstall Vortex on D:, and then just transfer the archive folder to the new one created in the D: drive?

Before you do anything else, Purge your mods from E:. That will remove all the hard links to your game directory.

I try to minimize downloads, so I would have Steam move your game rather than fresh install. Follow that with delete anything in your game directory that does not belong.

That includes delete Meshes, Textures, and Scripts. Follow that with Verify.

Fire up the game on the D: drive. Verify it works.

Fire up Vortex. Manually set the new game location.

Use the Vortex move mods function to move your mods directory to your new drive.

Verify all other paths in Settings are correct.

Deploy - and with a lot of luck - you are done.

This is how I would do it. YMMV.

Forgot to mention Moving Vortex. That is really optional, and will not give you faster game load times.

Your Mods directory is required to be on the same drive as your game for hard links, so it will be on the D: drive. That is where you get faster load times.

I suggest leaving Vortex where it is until everything else works. I have never tried moving the app.
