And youre right. But what about something a little less... eccentric. How about a permanently dry-docked boat somewhere that was rennovated into a house. You could place it nearly anywhere and have a realistic story behind it (except maybe up in high hrothgar or so far inland it would be silly). You can stock it up as much as you want with crafting stuff, or make it barebones and have the captains quarters as the bedroom the galley could be the kitchen, the storage could be down in the hold.
