making N_dds fie

Ok I've looked at this tutorial add it see to help for the most part but i noticed my file don't look like one found in other mods or in the default game . i use gimp 2 and DDS Converter 2

Are you saying that it's wrong because the one in the Gondor Armor mod has different levels of transparency whereas your one only has one level of transparency?

 

You'll need to break up your texture into layers (e.g. thw steel sections can be one layer, the cloth another). Create separate normal maps for each layer and adjust the transparency of each. Afterwards, combine all the layers into one normal map.

yes i was :( and this is one of the head slap moment.....layers of course should have thought of that
