nummer19
Hi Guys, first, sorry if I make mistakes, english isn't my mother tongue. So, when I played Skyrim after long time again, I experienced some freezing today. Every one or two minutes, the game completely froze, but the sound continued playing. If the freeze occured when I talked to an NPC, he continued talking and then moved his lips without saying anything.I tried deactivating every mod I use, but no help. Well, some hours later I tried again, and hey, no freezing now, but the game crashes 20 to 30 seconds after loading. Is the only way to solve this a new installation? I don't want to download the patch and all the mods again. And second, what could make this bug appear? Because I don't want to reinstall, play and experience the same bug again. Thanks for your help
Georgiegril
Can you provide a little more information? It may be a hardware issue if it stops after a set period of time.Could you please state your driver information, both graphics and sound? Also your memory for CPU and GPU and what settings you are playing on? Thanks. It may be that you have a mod conflict, and you may need to uninstall your mods, but ruling out hardware/driver issues may prevent that or at least rule hardware out beofre addressing mods. My system: AMD Phenom II X4 965 4x3,4nvidia GTX 560 ti (1280 mb RAM)4 GB DDR-3 Ram (1600 mhz) Settings: everything on high, radial blure on medium, no FXAA, no reflecting sky, 8xAA, 8xAF GPU driver version: 8.17.12.9573CPU driver version: 6.1.7600.16385 Sound driver version: 6.1.7600.16385 I didn't try to completely deinstall the mods, to be honest. I only deactivated. Maybe I should re-install every mod and look if and which mod cause the problem EDIT: I found something that may have something to do with it: the last 10 saves are like 35 mb or more, all the others are only 5 to 9 mb. FINAL EDIT: Thanks for offering me help, but I guess I solved it. Deleted the big sized saves and played with the last one that is 8 mb. Now it seems to work. But WHY were the saves so big?
