ezpkns34
So I have Immersive Armors & Immersive Armors Ecksstra ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3479 ) Ecksstra is actually supposed to be loaded first, but it has Immersive Armors listed as a Masterfile, and thus I can't figure out how to do that with Vortex The proof that it's backwards, if needed: From Immersive Armors' Posts section:maelstrom09 0 kudos 17 postswhat is Hothtrooper44 Armor Ecksstra .esp? is it a high texture replacer?what should be loaded first Hothtrooper44 ArmorCompilation or Hothtrooper44_Armor Ecksstra?posted @ 5:52, 28 Nov 2015ReplypremiumEckss 191 kudos 1724 postsIt's not a replacer. It's necessary because IA has more assets than will fit into 1 .bsa file.Hothtrooper44 Armor Ecksstra .esp activates more than half of the textures in IA and should be loaded before Hothtrooper44 ArmorCompilation.esp.posted @ 7:18, 28 Nov 2015Same applies for SSE(Eckss is co-developer of Immersive Armors (hence the ECTSStra), so as to placement of IA components in relation to each other, Eckss' statement overrules LOOT - or anyone else, for that matter.) Is there a way to reverse that Masterfile link? Can I use LOOT itself to change this?
rmm200
It does not really matter what the author says, or Loot says. The game will load Master files and ESL files before any ESP.If that does not work for you, take it up with Bethesda. It is their rule. A link that may help: https://loot.github.io/docs/help/Introduction-To-Load-Orders.html
Tannin42
I'm a bit confused. "Hothtrooper44 Armor Ecksstra.esp" is a dummy esp with no records. If it exists only to load assets that didn't fit into the other bsa there is no conflict, what would it matter which order they get loaded in? I've checked the two bsas, the ecksstra bsa contains interface translations, meshes, scripts and seq, the other bsa contains skyui files and textures. There is no overlap, no conflict in those bsas and thus absolutely no way the load order matters. EDIT: I just saw the post you quoted is from 2015, the latest IA release is a year newer so it's very possible that Eckss advice was relevant at one point but it's not now. This is a nice example btw. why a maintained masterlist is superior than manually ordering based on information you found in the depth of the interwebs. If this actually were a problem in the masterlist though, you could go to https://github.com/loot/skyrimse and report an issue than an existing masterlist rule is wrong and it would get fixed for everyone.
