Forum having broken default avatars

Hello everyone, I've been having an issue with the nexus forum for sometime now and have no idea when it started as I don't use the forum for anything but mod support. I don't know when it started but it is quite an annoying bug. default profile pics are broken for me and everything that has been told for me to do for chrome has not worked. I've gone through a number of sites for chrome and none of the issues have worked which includes clearing my browsing cookies, data and history and disabling my extensions which all didn't work. There is also one other site doing the same thing called OneAngryGamer but that's for a different site not for this. I've had to change my profile pic as well due to my own being broken as i didn't set a profile pic, I've searched up to see if anyone else had the same issues as me but there were only two results, one was because someone was using a Gravatar picture and the admin said they didn't support that at the time but now do and the other was someone having broken profile pics but also more then just that and didn't get an answer. So I have no idea why this has happened and how to fix it as no one else seems to have the issue. Many thanks if someone has a solution if they also had this problem.

 

Edit: also forgot to say that I do have chrome to allow it to show all images in the settings so that's also out of the question.

So it's possible something on your end is blocking the gravatar site?
