Shaitan051
Like the title says, every time I smith or improve something I Ievel up (Until almost 30 but then it just takes one and a half to level).I've gone and turned all the blacksmithing related mods on and off individually but I still can't figure out what the hell is causing it. Help would be appreciated. 00 Skyrim.esm01 Update.esm02 Dawnguard.esm03 3rdEraWeaponsMoS.esm04 SkyMoMod.esm05 EagleEyePerk.esm06 ApachiiHair.esm07 Alicia.esm08 Hideout.esm09 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp [Version 1.1]0A DW Commoners.esp0B DW Enemies and Wanderers.esp0C Weapons and Armor fixes.esp0D Weapons and Armor fixes - Hacks.esp0E Crafting300.esp0F Lost Art of the Blacksmith.esp10 BBP_Dragon_Princess.esp++ FullBootForKKSA.esp11 hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp12 3rdEraWeapMoS-lvlList.esp13 3rdEraWeapMoS-rareCraft.esp14 Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp15 DeadlyDragons.esp16 Uncle Sheo.esp17 dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Medium.esp18 Better Vampires.esp19 The Dance of Death.esp1A Balanced_Alteraton.esp1B Balanced_Conjuration.esp1C Balanced_Destruction.esp1D Balanced_Illusion.esp1E Balanced_Restoration.esp++ Balanced_Magic_Master.esp++ Balanced_Magic_Adept.esp1F Balanced_Magic_Novice.esp20 MysticalElvesV1.5.esp21 UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp22 Alicia.esp23 Bashed Patch, 0.esp24 VampiricEola.esp25 DawnguardHelmetReplacer.esp26 FaeFFG.esp27 Carriage1.esp
Rabbit1251
It has to do with an earlier update. Just update your game with Steam to the latest version. Rabbit
Shaitan051
Automatic updates are on so afaik it is updated. My Skyrim is version 1.7.7.0.6 Would it be possible for me to make an .esp with the proper value and place it at the bottom of the load order? If so what am I changing and to what? EDIT: Just to see what would happen I improved all my armor. 7 Steel Ingots later my Smithing is 100, I was at 15 when I started. That can't be normal. David Brasher
Skyrim Update 1.4 and newer broke all the perk mods in regards to smithing. The smithing stats now mean something totally different than they used to with the same numbers. Mods intended to slow down how fast you increase skill levels in the smithing skill now make it so you level up ten times as fast. So somewhere in your load order is a mod that edits how fast or slow skills increase. You will need to remove it, update it, or override it. These two mods sound like likely suspects:0F Lost Art of the Blacksmith.esp14 Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp As you suggest, you could just build or install a mod near the end of your load order to fix the symptoms of the problem. You could download and install a slow leveling up mod such as Leveling Up Lethargically. It is found at the Skyrim Scaling Stopper download point but does not depend on any Skyrim Scaling Stopper files. If you are wanting to build your own mod or fix your bad mod, the stat you need to change is found at Creation Kit main window > Character > Actor Values > Smithing. You will need to make the number like 0.33 or lower unless you want to use the vanilla Skyrim number and make it an intentionally dirty identical-to-master record for your patch mod that overrides all the others.
