...Cant be on my neck, forearms, face/head

Why, are you in the military? I can't think of any patterns to recommend, but I remember a few "tattoo don'ts" that are good rules:

- Never tattoo anyone's name on you unless they are your child, ink lasts forever, friendships do not

- Never tattoo a band's logo, everybody get old and not all go out gracefully

- Never tattoo a cartoon character that is not your own creation

- Never pick a tattoo from a selection of "popular tattoos" because there will be 50 dbags walking around with the same thing and at least one will live in your area

- Never get a tattoo from an artist who has no tattoos

Well I have a few and my advice would be to do as I did - create them YOURSELF so that you may have some uniqueness. It is also better if they represent / mean something to you and you think about it for a while before taking the plunge.

Good luck.

Edit - One of mine is a tribute to my Nan whilst another is a copy of the one my baby Brother got when he was in the Royal Navy. I feel it made us closer. :)

Cheers.

My brother has a tattoo "My tattoo" in Old English Script. Least I've not seen anybody else with that, and when he asks if somebody wants to see, "my tattoo" he gets a chuckle out of it.

I have one tat....that of my avatar. It has levels of meaning for me and it's registered to me, so there won't be a bunch of dbags with it.

Like most others have said, go with something with personal meaning. If you was jojoman, I'd recommend one of a spider biting the fek out of you......
