Cine_eater
I used to have Oblivion vanilla with the add-ons (shivering Isles and Knights) but got rid of it a year back, I've now rebought the GOTY edition and there is no DLC content like the Orrary and horse armour etc at all.So can I get these from somewhere or have Bethesda ripped of the GOTY users and denied them the extra's?Will I have to buy the seperate Knights pack to get all the DLC content or can I get it somewhere else like here. bben46
The GOTY edition comes with Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. The official DLC mods are available here (for a small fee): http://obliviondownloads.com/StoreCatalog_...SubCategoryId=1 As far as I know, these other DLC mods were available only on the KOTN upgrade CD (except for Battlehorn Castle) Note that the DLC mods are not compatible with Vista or XP64 bit systems. Tesnexus does not allow uploading the copyrighted DLC mods from Bethesda on the site. All mods on Tesnexus are free
Sshadow
GoTY edition comes with Knights and SI only, but you can buy the other official DLCs online from http://obliviondownloads.com. That's where I ordered them last month but I'm not able to load the page atm. Hope this helps.

bben46
I have heard several people say that the version you get on the KOTN CD will work. From the official download site: http://obliviondownloads.com/StoreCatalog_...SubCategoryId=1 "ATTENTION VISTA & XP 64 USERS: The secured installers for downloadable Oblivion content (currently ALL add-ons) are not compatible with 64-bit editions of Microsoft Windows or any version of Windows Vista. When attempting to install the content, an error will appear, and the installer will close. The installer will only function on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows, excluding Windows Vista. If you have purchased this content and play on a computer running a 64-bit version of Windows, please do not delete your installer."
humanbean234
This is why I'm immensely thankful I spent the extra $110 for an OEM copy of XP Professional, and use a Dual-Boot setup on my computer. There are some things I like about Vista; program compatibility isn't one of them.
pedantic
I down-loaded all the official content from .... Starts with BT, ends with junkie. I liked what I got, deleted the lot, went out and bought the Knights of the Nine disk (even though I have KOTN with GOTY Edition) came home, prepared to install now legitimate DLC and ....? huh ? there is no Fighters Stronghold (DLC6) on the darned disk! Bah . . who needs a really nice castle anyway .. I DO ! Where can I get a legitimate copy of this originally free download that works?. Does anyone know ?EDITI failed to mention that the downloaded file from the official website didn't work for me, least wise not properly. I got embroiled in all kinds of patches that simply made matters worse all round. Hence - where can I get a copy that works
LHammonds
Just to summarize everything that has been said and what I know about this: Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition comes with Oblivion + Shivering Isles + Knights of the Nine. (No DLCs) The Knights of the Nine CD comes with all available DLCs except the Battlehorn DLC (called Fighter's Stronghold) which was released after KotN. Battlehorn DLC was available as a FREE download for a period of one week before becoming a pay-for DLC just like all the other DLCs and is NO LONGER considered FREE (so do not ask for a copy of the DLC from somebody that got it during the free period because "that" copy is not considered free anymore) The DLCs that you purchase individually is delivered inside an executable installer that is not compatible with Vista. The DLCs that came on the Knights of the Nine CD do not have the same encryption and WILL install on Vista. Even if you have purchased the downloaded DLCs that will not install on Vista, you can still make them work on Vista by taking the files to a Windows XP PC, installing them there and copying the .BSA and .ESP files in Oblivion's Data folder to your Vista PC and enable them like any other mod. The Vista problem is with the installers, not the actual mods themselves. Filenames of the DLC mods: DLCBattlehornCastle.bsa DLCBattlehornCastle.esp DLCFrostcrag.bsa DLCFrostcrag.esp DLCHorseArmor.bsa DLCHorseArmor.esp DLCMehrunesRazor.esp DLCOrrery.bsa DLCOrrery.esp DLCSpellTomes.esp DLCThievesDen.bsa DLCThievesDen.esp DLCVileLair.bsa DLCVileLair.esp Knights.bsa Knights.esp WINDOWS VISTA WARNING: If you are using Vista, I strongly recommend installing Oblivion to someplace other than the default folder under C:\Program Files\ because of quirky file permissions that will cause issues when you install user-made mods or try to use the Construction Set. I hope this clears things up. LHammonds
