c0ax599
I would like to make a Weapon Rack "Table" if that's possible. Screenshot for example. Something like that only with a "invisible" WeaponRackMidPlayerHouse. So it will look like the weapons just lay on the table. I've tried looking for such a object among Activators and elsewhere. Doesn't seem to exist. Is this at all possible to do using any method?? edit Well, just fooling around i managed this, 5 working dagger cases, looks just like the daggers are lying on the table. I guess I can try to do the same do the same with a weapon display case... Still open to any ideas for sure.. c0ax599
Well, I guess this works ok for me. I would still like to find a better method so I could have more slots on the table. Using this method I can probably get 15 daggers on the table or 7-8 swords.. Prolly mix and match... Those are the pieces I've used. Scaled the dagger diplays to .75, might change it to .50 because the regular weapon rack displays are .50 and work. Then i just tilted 'em to align flat with the table... Comments? Ideas? thumbincubation
Never thought of that before, but it looks good. I like it.
c0ax599
Thanks thumbincubation! I think i got it finished. The 7 Weapon Displays/activators are scaled to .25 and still work. The five Dagger Displays/activators are scaled to .50. Seemed Small enough. You can get all 12 weps on the table, but it can be slightly tricky. You can walk on 3 sides of the table so you can get all the triggers from the right angle. Honestly too, it works good mainly with swords, greatswords and daggers. I put a axe on there, you can see it is cocked at an angle. Some axes clip into the edge of the table. Same with Staffs. Also the head of maces kind of sink into the table a bit. But if I make them much higher the swords will look like they're floating... Just trying to think outside the box a bit here. One thing I don't understand, there's a dagger only display case that I used for the daggers. I wanted to make one similar to only take War Axes. Of course there not a default object like that. Wish I could figure out how to do that. I made a new form out of a wep display case/activator and I've tried different keywords, changed this or that. never got it working.. It shows the text i changed, Place War Axe, but nothing happens. It's all linked up like the others that work... but I am pretty happy with what i got so far. I've always loved having Display Tables with weps layed out on it. Edited May 25, 2019 by c0ax599
thumbincubation
I don't know a thing about the inner workings, but I love the way it looks. Would be nice for the Hearthfire houses.
yian
This is totally legit, and it will work beautifully. I know because I did something very similar for my own mod. Look at the right side of the wall in front of the character, around the area where the Gray Fox's Statue is. Those are weapon racks designed for daggers. And I filled them up with every type if dagger in the game. Edited May 26, 2019 by yian

morismark
Sorry, do you have also rotate the activator? Because on my table, the weapon appears slightly rotate relative to the table.they do not rest parallel to the tableThanks
thumbincubation
Judging only from the difference in the first and last shots, it appears the OP did rotate the activators back about 45 degrees, to make them level with the table. That may take some tweak/test/repeat to get right, though, depending on the weapon intended for use. Also, you might find a clean surface, drop the weapon both in game and in ck (with havoc test on) and see if there's something in the weapon's collision making it sit awkwardly.
