"Disable All Mods" Button

Hello. I assumed there would be an option to disable all mods with a single button. I dont see it if that feature does exist. If not, may i suggest adding one? Would help tremendously. If there is a button already then I would love to know where it is. I've searched everywhere but dont see one.

The suggested feature is already there. Go to the mods page, move your mouse to a non-button area and select any mod, press CTRL + A to select all mods, and then use the menu that pops up at the bottom of the page.

Purge Mods may also do what you want. An unexpected bonus of this is that Vortex remembers which mods were enabled.

So when you Deploy again, all the mods you were running come back.

If you really do Disable all mods, Vortex has no memory of what used to be enabled.

This is important for me because I never have more than half my mods enabled on any given profile.

@rmm200

Thanks for the tip. That's a neat trick!

Just curious. Would the same thing be achieved by using CTRl + A to disable all mods, and then clicking on a save to re-enable? That would be a cumbersome and inelegant way to achieve the same result as yours, but, as I said, I'm just curious.

When I roll back to a much earlier save, I click on "Restore saves" to see what that save is missing.

I frequently get "Could not restore plugins" with a list of missing ones.

Those are typically mods which have been deleted or updated. I then go fishing around for those.

So I can't say if it is reliable enough to undo a "Disable all" - but it is certainly worth trying, and will get you most of the way there.
