Breakable bottles.

Does it bother you how shooting a Nuka-Cola bottle with an Anti Material Rifle doesn't break it? It bothers me.

 

I, unfortunately, failed in my attempt to make that happen. It looks pretty simple to me, but looks can be deceiving.

 

My apologies if this was already done. I searched the Nexus for it, and found nothing.

As an extra they could be thrown once or used once before breaking. That would be somewhat interesting.

Indeed, it does sound interesting.

 

Destructibles by 3ncryptabl3.It does not let you destroy Nuka Cola bottles or any kind of empty bottles, but it does let you destroy full beer, wine, whiskey and vodka bottles.

I'm shocked I didn't find that. Thank you so much for sharing!

I can make you some. I can add the broken bottle models to the Destructibles mod if the author allows, or make a stand alone mod. I'm already making the bottles for a mod to smash them over peoples heads (and stab them with teh broken end/shards) in this thread.

Sounds awesome! If you could add a script or hidden perk that adds some experience each time the player shoots and breaks a bottle that would be pretty cool also for target practice. You could use getdistance (or whatever that function is called) to make the xp variable based on how far away you are. I wanted to do that myself but I couldn't figure out how to get the game to register that a bottle had been shot. An example might be in the quest script for when you do that first quest shooting sasparilla bottles though.

Sure, but I'd recommend it be very little xp. Maybe on par with the xp you get for shooting "birds" in FO3, (I think it's only a few points).....after all don't want the player becoming a advanced, honed, killing machine if all he's downed are some empty bottles. :dry:

Hmm, good point, maybe 1xp at close range and 5xp at sniper range would be a good idea.

 

BoredBoredKid, giving you kudos for that perk description. I know it was a joke, but I'm making an overhaul and I'm going to use that as a perk if you don't mind lol. (Going to include it in a series of humorous perks that require wild wasteland. The mod won't be ready for a month or so though, so don't hold your breath.)

 

And Yes, I do want exploding Nuka Cola Victory bottles!
