Vortex not install all of my mods.

I have a number of mods using vortex. I have quite a few that are appearing to install and enable in vortex but do not show in game. Most of my mods are visual as in textures, plus build mods. So far, I have found that overgrowth, NMC's sanctuary bridge, advanced turrets, and most of the build mods are not loading in game. (I just started a new game so I have not been able to go through all my mods yet to see what else may not be loading. Is there a mod limit for vortex?

Please provide more detail, using the guidelines found here; How to Request Vortex Support.

 

If you've not already done so, you'll find it very helpful to look at the instructional resources in Vortex. From the Vortex Dashboard you can access video tutorials and the Vortex Knowledge Base.

I'm using Vortex 0.17.11

 

I'm trying to mod Fallout 4

 

I have 377 mods. (Most are either texture replacements or bodyslides) And worked using NMM in the past.

 

I'm running this on Windows 10.

 

All conflicts have been resolved during mod installation as well.

Here's a suggestion for making your lists more manageable. Please use spoiler tags. If you don't know how, it's easy to learn. The first tag is placed to the left of the first entry in the list. The second tag is placed to the right of the last entry in the list. You can google how to do that. It would be helpful if you placed spoiler tags around each list.

 

Now to your problem. Vortex does not have a plugin limit, but Fallout 4 does. How many active esm's and esp's do you have? You can find out by going to the plugins page and selecting "Enabled" in the Status filter box. A number should then pop up on the taskbar.

 

Have you used all these mods in a previous game using a different mod manager? If so, did all the mods work?

Also:

Pick one of your problem texture mods. With or without plugin.

In the mod window use the mod dropdown View in file manager.

Note what specific path is shown for a texture.

Now switch to your game directory Data/Textures.

Navigate to the same location you saw in file manager.

Is the texture there? If it is, Vortex did it's job.

If it isn't - we will try to figure out what happened.

My money is on too many plugins, like Augusta indicated.

Mods that do not have plugins (esp, esm) - there is no limit to those.

What you see on the Mods page, if the mod is installed, are all the mods in your mod staging folder. These are what Vortex hard links point to.

For the most part, these are the unzipped archives.

At the right of each mod is a drop down. Things like reinstall or View in File Manager.

View in file manager opens an explorer window into that mod in the staging folder.

The structure should look identical to what the game directory Data/Textures looks like for this mod if the hard links were installed successfully.

Which is really all Vortex tries to do.

The actual texture in the game directory might not match if some other mod was installed after and replaced it - but the name should be there.

You're safely within the Fallout 4 plugin limit.

I checked regrowth as that is one that is not working as you explained above. (Thank you as I had no clue that option was there) The regrowth staging area has music and video but no texture folder. Regrowth overhaul has no folder in the data/textures folder in the main fo4 folder. I haven't even checked the others yet.

 

Advanced turrets has no folders in the data folder, nor does snap n build or a number of other building mods. seems only about 100-150 mods are actually installing

 

Do you think it would help to completely uninstall my mods and reinstall them? (though i have tried reinstalling the several mentioned above 10 times to no avail.)

Well what I said was pick one of your problem Texture mods. Those have Textures...

All that matters is that your game directory shows the files from your mod folder.

Advanced Turret Set has no loose files; just BA2, esp, and esm.

Look in your game Data folder to see those.

Repeat: Only loose files go in folders under Data. BA2, ESP, and ESM go directly into Data.

If you see those in Data - they are installed.

Don't uninstall anything until you find a problem.
