Copying an NPCs face?

I would like to know if there's a way to copy an NPCs face and use it on my character. More specifically, I'd like to use Serana's face for my character. Is this possible?

 

I tried searing for a thread like this, but could only find people asking to copy their character's face onto an NPC.

I didn't know who Serana was. had to google her :P She's from Dawnguard i don't have that.

 

Anywho the following should apply.

 

Open up the Creation Kit and select the Dawnguard esm (I'm hoping it's a esm, if not Bethesda screwed up royally). Skyrim & Update esms should auto-load with Dawnguard, but you could check them to be safe. Press ok and wait for everything to load up and say 'yes to all' for any errors that are reported.

 

When it is all done, in the Object Window navigate to Actors section and look for Serana's actor form. Since she is a Nord vampire most likely she is in Actors - Actors - NordRace - Female. Once you found it, right click and choose edit.

Change the ID name to something else. SeranaPreset001 will do just nicely.

Tick the box that says "Is Chargen Preset"

Press Ok on the actor/preset window

 

Navigate to Characters - Race and find the NordRace entry

With the race window open, go back to the object window and locate your new preset under Actors - Actors - Preset - NordRace - Female. Don't open it instead drag and drop it onto the presets list on the presets tab of the Nord Race window.

Press Ok on the race window

 

Save the plugin and name it something meaningful.

Exit the Creation Kit

 

Check to make sure that the ESP is set to load in whatever mod manager program you use.

Launch the game,

Start a new game and confirm that it is present.

 

 

Note: I just tested this out before typing it and successfully had Aela load in as a preset on the Nord race.
