SaintSaenz
Hi everybody i'm stuck with a certain issue in geck when creating armor for New Vegas, let me go through my process so far so we can avoid misunderstandings. BTW is my process correct? XD Modeling process: The usual process, select clothing shape from base body, duplicate, add materials (New - Add new - map input - uv - textures button - image). Mark seams, save uv map image. Finally double "A", CTRL + A - scale rotation to obdata. Done Import and Export settings: https://imgur.com/ebXKWMShttps://imgur.com/dmBsIkv After that I go to nifscope. Shader Type: Skin for skin and default for clothing And shader Flags just copy the same as an ingame clothing. Finally attach the dds and _n.dds files from gimp. The Issue comes here when i get to geck and this exclamation mark appears when trying to add the armor. https://imgur.com/eBiqCKT Thanks for your time. dubiousintent
That exclamation mark is the FNV way of indicating it cannot locate the mesh file. Please see 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. However, in the GECK it most probably is indicating that you saved your NIF file with an "absolute" instead of "relative" file path. (This is often the "Default" in many mesh editors; especially Blender.) See the wiki article "How to fix hard-coded texture paths in NIF files" for the procedure to locate the texture file entry within NifSkope. (The path needs to be "relative" instead of "absolute"/"hard-coded" in order to be found on various installation locations, which is what that article covers.) -Dubious-
AusAllerWelt
Your export settings are wrong. For rigged objects the settings should look like this: Edited May 29, 2019 by AusAllerWelt
