CarnivorousClown
I "upgraded" from NMM to Vortex. Yay. I imported my mods/settings from NMM to Vortex, and everything worked perfectly. [i really don't care if you think I shouldn't have done that, there was a button for it, so I did it. Astonishingly it worked.] However, now Vortex has oh-so-helpfully automatically downloaded duplicate copies of every single mod, so I have every mod listed twice. Once as "enabled", and once as "ready to install". Since I have manually fixed bugs in several of the mods I use, I'm really not all that keen to have them updated by Vortex. Is there any way that I can turn off this automatic download feature? I've looked through the settings but nothing jumped out at me.
AugustaCalidia
Vortex does not automatically download mods. You have to give it explicit permission to do so. Something else is going on. To find that "something," run Purge (it's a non-destructive process). Check your game data folder. It should be empty of everything but vanilla game assets. If there's something more there, then that's your problem.
BigBizkit
Those were not "automatically downloaded" as Vortex does not download mods automatically in the first place. This seems more like it would be related to importing mods. Likely it is the archives becoming disassociated from the mods. Could you show me a screenshot? It should not be an issue other than cluttering up your mod list though. I had a similar thing when I manually moved mods over from my laptop.
