ajwhitaker94
Hello All, I have tried pretty much everything I can think of, although I am only recently getting back into this after an absence. My game is crashing almost immediately after starting a new game. More specifically either right before or immediately after choosing a "fate" in the alternate start mod. I have tried creating new characters and obviously restarting game and computer. LOOT says my load order is good, so it is obviously a problem with the mods correct? Below is a screenshot(s) of my load order including every mod I have installed. Further assistance is appreciated. I really want to get back into this game, as I am sure everyone can sympathize with. I am at a complete loss with my troubleshooting at this point and it is getting frustrating for me.
c0ax599
Nothing jumps out at me, but i prolly wouldn't know. All i can suggest is starting off the game with only a few mods changing little things like the map, map markers, skyui, ussep, etc. The necessary stuff! Then add the Alternate Start mod, which i've used with around 40 other mods like you, no prob. then add your other mods one by one to see if anything messes up on a certain mod install. ldrifta
Also I would recommend Using MO2 rather than NMM, with NMM once you have 1 mod overwrite pieces from another then that's it, those parts for the overwritten mod are now gone and you cant move it around on the load order to make things start working. Personally I know this sucks but I would make a fresh start, remove everything and make sure skyrim works properly with no mods at all first (if not then delete and re-install) Secondly install MO2, then your basic scripts and patches like SKSE & Engine fixes etc.. Now boot skyrim up and make sure its all good. If all went well from here then you just need to start re-adding your mods, maybe do like 10 at a time then give it a test run etc.. Hopefully it all works well from here or you atleast discover what the culprit was originally.. lol Good luck!
