luzburg
Ok adopt a child and building your own home sounds good...but wtf...when will Bethesda fix the bugs...probably never...while DLC sounds good this DLC (upcoming) is worthless in my oppinion ... except the Hearthfire why Bethesda didnt make a new DLC simillar to Dawnguard with other features...i like to see the Bloodmoon again and my oppionion it was back then the golden age of TES series, i love Skyrim very much but this game becomes more like a Minecraft now or Sims.... You get to see the bloodmoon in vanilla Skyrim. Its a quest.
StayFrosty05
I am just very aware that if I was still playing Skyrim on XBox, I would be so terribly disappointed and feel let down over Hearthfire....Skyrim is an RPG about a Warrior, not a farmer or homemaker or raising kids....I would have preferred more choices inserted into the vanilla game quests and making it a much richer experience than farming potatoes and raising kids....what kind of parent would a Dovahkin make anyway...seriously....the Dovahkin goes and puts his life on the line everyday, lopping peoples heads off for a living....I am just so glad I swapped out to PC and don't have take such shockingly Sim like scraps to try and add content to my game.....my heart really goes out to the XBoxer's.... :( .....dawnguard is buggy but good, it remains in the flavor of the game and stays Elder Scrolls....Hearthfire is just a Sims remake. Blu02
Actually, even though there are many mods for PC like this dlc, I never trusted any of them so I'm glad there will be an official house builder for the game. I will enjoy it on PC. That's a bit ironic to hear, since it is usually Bethesda's stuff that are filled with bugs, which is most often left for modders to deal with :P
PudgyPigeonCat
I like the upcoming DLC, because it gives the moding community there hands on it to make better mods for build your own house, and not only that but the xbox, and ps3 players get some thing new and cool... I understand your opinion (and believe me I won't be running out to buy the DLC as soon as it's released) but I'm sure you know there are a ton of people who play the game differently. That's why there are all ready build your own house mods and food & thirst mods, and so on. A lot of people ignore the main point of the game and do what they want, so some people are going to love it. That's what a single player sandbox game is all about. Plus I doubt it's going to be anywhere near the complexity of the sims (not that I ever played the sims). I also doubt people on the Xbox are going to be let down. I'm sure some will be, but they have no other opportunity to mod the game in any way. I feel like some of the same people talking so ill of the DLC would easily throw the same features in a list of everything that bethesda "left out" of the game if given the opportunity. Some people just can't be pleased (not referring to you here stayfrosty just speaking in general). edit: Just so I'm not misunderstood, I want to emphasize that while I'm not really looking forward to DLC myself, I just know that plenty of people are (and I have no problem with that). Enatiomorph
Meh, they made the dumbed down game that is Skyrim for console players, they didnt need to give them anything else. The only good thing is this gets rid of M$ 30 day exclusivity clause. Edited August 29, 2012 by Enatiomorph

The only good thing is this gets rid of M$ 30 day exclusivity clause. This is the most valuable aspect of this DLC release. Henceforth, the PC can get DLC content with no wait for XBox. Possibly even before XBox. Edited August 29, 2012 by blitzen

Maybe it just really come down to the fact that I have kids and run a household and as so it holds absolutely no novelty value to me.....I do like to RP myself, am a very staunch RP'er in fact, though that never includes keeping house...You are right, I guess my horror is really just coming from the fact that it isn't really that long ago that I converted my Skyrim from XBox to PC and I would have been very upset if that's all that was available when I so desperately would love to see Bethesda enrich and expand on the limited in game choices we have (quest decision choices, etc...) before they do anything else....though I do very much like Dawnguard, I have felt Bethesda needed to expand the base game first, but at least Dawnguard retained that strong Elder Scrolls flavor......so all in all just very disappointed is all....I'm just feeling Bethesda is ignoring the elephant in the room. Sanbru
I have no issues with it.Like it's been said, it gives the console gamers something to enjoy. Especially the PS3 owners, poor Sony gamers..being left out of so much. lol
Loki180
I have no bugs in my Skyrim game, I have got over 300 hours of gameplay now and no bugs that I have come across that have killed the game.I for one am looking forward to the DLC Skyrim is an RPG about a Warrior, not a farmer or homemaker or raising kids In my opinion, untrue. Skyrim like Oblivion and the rest the game is made to be who YOU want to be, I.E a Farmer or even a Father(mother) With mods new ideas and fresh minds the games gets better and better. This new DLC just adds more choice to the game, No all of us want to go around fighting thing after thing, I want more immersion in the game. If you don't then you don't buy the DLC. but I for one am happy that Betha are coming up with fresh ideas like this! I hope we don't have to wait an entire month for this DLC like Dawnguard. That would be a kick to the nads! Edited August 30, 2012 by Loki180
