AugustaCalidia
@Crokadilla So I guess I am asking: Should it go within Program Files x86 or just somewhere on the C: drive? If your game is on the C: drive, then the Mod Staging Folder must be somewhere on the same drive but never in the game folder and never in the folder where Vortex itself is installed. Crokadilla
Oh! It seems that moving the folder to C:/Games/Vortex and then restarting the program made all of my plugins appear. A step in the right direction at least. Now to see if all of these actually work...

Crokadilla
Welp, I ran into more trouble pretty quick. After installing a couple last mods and an enb, I was going through and just making sure everything looked right when a pop up window asked me if I wanted to save or revert some changes that had been made to mod files outside of Vortex. Wasn't really sure what that meant as I had not interacted with any mod files other than to install an enb. Figured it was Vortex just being wonky, hit save changes and then... my Mod Staging File somehow disappeared? couldnt find it anywhere, Vortes basically made me entirely restart because it couldnt find it. Fortunately, it saved my modlist, so I really only have to go back and hit install on this whole list - but then I noticed that apparently I am now running low on disk space. Which means that the old mod staging folder went somewhere and is still taking up space somehow? thats my best guess. Anyone know where that folder went so I can delete it and clean up the space I need? I have pinpointed which log file has the part where I messed up but not really sure how to post it here, its a pretty gigantic wall of computer jargon. Edit: Nevermind, did some exploring and found it. apparently the mod staging folder somehow got moved up a directory by mistake, it was sitting in a New Folder next to the Vortex folder. AugustaCalidia
@Crokadilla If ENB mods are manually installed, they typically make changes to your game that trigger the Vortex "external changes" menu. That may also happen if the mods are installed through Vortex. However, since I've not ever installed an ENB through Vortex, I have no firsthand knowledge that this is the case.
